Art to optimize its operations

We have been working for more than ten years on a system aimed to facilitate the management of specialized medical supplies in Institution’s surgical wards.
We are proud to announce the launch of a management terminal unit for intraocular lenses. This system will be offered to Institutions who will demonstrate their interest in the upcoming months.

Being aware of the financial situation of Institutions and in order to reduce costs and facilitate acquisition, we opted for an outsourcing arrangement. This will allow Institutions to be more efficient in providing health care.
We believe that the outsourcing model will become a must for all specialized medical supplies such as: lenses, total knee and hip prosthesis, pacemakers or mechanical sutures.

Our team will be responsible for all products in consignment in the surgical ward, and will provide reports of lenses used and ordered at the end of every work day.
The Institution will have the choice of continuing to order their lenses by themselves or choose to let our team provide that service. We will be in charge of filling the terminal units, give all trainings and provide any specific report that could be required.

Process

  • 1) An embedded software will be installed on the collection department’s computers. This application will capture the patient file number as well as the paid lens type and will transfer the data to the Vision GESTION terminal unit located in the surgical ward.
  • 2) Periodically, an inventory count of the lenses in consignment will be taken in order to set the filling parameters of the terminal unit.
  • 3) The terminal unit installation will be made by our team of specialists.
  • 4) The first filling of the terminal unit will be optimally configured by DMI.
  • 5) Training will be given to all staff members using the terminal unit.

Management plan

  • 1) The doctor opens his operating session on the terminal unit and selects the lens he will apply on the patient.
  • 2) When the doctor is finished with his operating program, he ends his session.
  • 3) The terminal unit then places an order form to replace the lenses used.
  • 4) The order form is forwarded to the supplier by DMI or by the institution.
  • 5) The lenses are shipped to DMI.
  • 6) A DMI representative fills up the terminal unit located in the surgical ward.

Universality

  • Our concept can be used with all lens suppliers.

Special orders

  • Doctors or their secretary will place their special lens orders with our office. These requests can be made either by fax, email or with a smart phone.
  • DMI or the Institution will place the order with the supplier.
  • DMI will notify the collection and admission department of the Institution when the lenses have been placed in the Vision GESTION terminal unit.
  • When a lens is used by the doctor, its twin (still in the terminal unit) is retrieved by DMI and sent back to the supplier.

Outdated lenses

  • We are responsible for product rotation according to lenses expiry dates.
